De Grisogono History

1993: de Grisogono was founded in Geneva in 1993 by black diamond specialist Fawaz Gruosi.

1996: Fawaz Gruosi creates an entire collection of black diamond jewellery.

2000: Fawaz Gruosi presents his first collection called Instrumento N°Uno at the World Watch and Jewellery Fair Basel.

2001: Fawaz Gruosi introduces his second watch, Instrumentino.

2002: The Instrumento Doppio watch is released. This timepiece features a totally original feature: two dials driven by one and the same movement.

2003: Two new watches are launched. The Instrumento Doppio Tre that shows a third time zone and the Instrumento Tondo with a round dial.

2004: Three new watch designs are released. The Instrumento Steel & Diamonds, Instrumento Chrono and Lipstick. De Grisogono also opens boutiques in New York, Hong Kong and Mosow,

2005: The Instrumento Grande, Power Breaker and Occhio Ripeizione Minuti join the de Grisogono roster.

2006: de Grisogono unveils four new watch designs with the Instrumento Grande, Uno Grande Seconde, the FG One “complication” and be Eight.

2007: de Grisogono become sole ownership to Fawaz Gruosi after he buys out Chopard’s equity stake. He also launches two new watch designs, the Instrumento Novanatre and Piccolina.

2008: The fifteenth anniversary of de Grisogono S.A.
The company unveiled the Meccanico DG, combining for the first time in horological history a digital time display run by a mechanical power supply.

2009: de Grisogono unveils its new watch collection, Fuso Quadrato featuring a two-blade titanium Diaphragm and a second timezone display.

2010: Fawaz Gruosi revisits the iconic Instrumento N°Uno for the collections 10th anniversary with a daring Pop Art approach. The Instrumento Grande collection returns with a new chrono version and Gerald Roden joins de Grisogono as CEO

2011: Fawaz Gruosi pays tribute to fifteen years of the black diamond with a new collection of timepeieces called “Black Forever”.
