Richard Mille RM 67-02 ‘High Jump’ Mutaz Barshim

Richard Mille RM67-02 High Jump Mutaz Barshim

A sports themed evolution of the 67-01Automatic Winding Extra Flat, the RM67-02 showcases proportions of 38.7mm wide and only 7.8mm tall so an exceptionally easy wear for any wrist size.

The case is made from Quartz TPT (Thin Ply Tecnnology) which is made up from multiple wafer thin layers of silica (quartz) fibres which are injected with coloured resins to create an exceptionally strong and lightweight material with striated bands of colour.

These were offered in two different colourways - purple and white for the “High Jump” Mutaz Barshim model, and green and yellow for the “Sprint” variation dedicated to world record holder Wayde Van Niekerk. The 67-02 is powered by calibre CRMA7 which is suspended within the case using titanium base plates. In a weight saving move, the rotor is pierced carbon with a thin strip of white gold providing enough weight at the rim for winding efficiency.

The strap is an elasticated woven textile with titanium strengthening rods that grips the wrist without feeling uncomfortable or digging in. There is no clasp which reduces both weight and the potential for impact damage to the inner wrist when engaging in activities such as throwing yourself over 2.4 metre poles at high speed.

Quartz and carbon TPT blend seamlessly with textile and titanium to create Richard Mille’s lightest automatic watch at only 32 grams.
